Jiangsu Rutong Petro-Machinery Co Ltd in the Rudong Economic Development Zone, East China's Jiangsu province, has developed rapidly in recent years through continuous innovation.

This year, the company's orders have grown 30 percent over last year.

Founded in 1958, Rutong was designated as one of six specialized manufacturers of oil drilling and production wellhead tools in the 1970s. Today, it is a listed company in Jiangsu's petroleum industry.

The company invests more than 4 percent of its annual sales revenue in research and development, and has established four high-standard research and development platforms, including a provincial enterprise technology center, Jiangsu province petroleum machinery equipment technology research center, and Jiangsu provincial enterprise postgraduate work center.

Thanks to its strong focus on innovation, the company has expanded its product range to include over 8,000 different types of products across nine major categories. It has undergone a gradual transformation from specializing in the production of traditional manual tools to offering a wide range of innovative tools and equipment oriented towards mechanization, automation, and intelligent solutions.

The company's products are currently sold in more than 20 countries and regions. This year, the company's overseas orders have increased by 40 percent year-on-year, a record high in recent years.

The company is listed among the top 50 petroleum and petrochemical equipment manufacturers in China, is a national high-tech enterprise, and has been designated a "little giant" enterprise in Jiangsu province.
