Modern libraries gain popularity in Chongchuan
A cluster of modern libraries has emerged in Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province in recent years and is gaining in popularity among local residents.
Haoxi Library
Haoxi Library, located in the Haohe River scenic area in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, was established in 1997.
Spanning 1,500 square meters, the library is open 24 hours and includes a reading area with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, coffee shop, and Haohe Museum, where residents can not only read books but also enjoy art and art-themed bazaars.

Chongfu Library
Located in Zhongxiu subdistrict in Chongchuan, Chongfu Library offers an extensive collection of books encompassing Chinese and foreign philosophy, literature, and the arts.
To ensure a comfortable reading experience, the library features a spacious, tiered reading room, providing ample space for readers to immerse themselves in the world of books.
The library also organizes a variety of cultural activities to promote traditional culture such as tea ceremony, incense lore, guqin (ancient Chinese musical instrument), and classical poetry.

Jianshufang Library
Jianshufang Library covers an area of about 1,000 square meters and houses over 3,000 books. It features reading areas, a tea-drinking section, intangible cultural heritage exhibition area, and activity zone.
In addition to reading, visitors can participate in various cultural activities to experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage, such as embroidery and indigo dyeing.
