About 50 journalists from Mongolia and China visited Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on June 30 to learn about the city's experience in cultural inheritance, environmental protection, and port construction.
Their first stop was the Nantong Museum, where a permanent exhibition about Zhang Jian (1853-1926), an industrial magnate, educator, and scholar born in Nantong, is held. A journalist from Mongolia said that they were all amazed at the urban planning made by Zhang 100 years ago for Nantong.

The Binjiang area of the "five mountains" was their next stop, where they gave a thumbs-up to the measures taken by Nantong authorities to protect and improve the local environment and treat pollution.
They also visited the Qidong Woodblock Painting Academy and Jianghai Road, the most beautiful frontline along the Yangtze River and Huanghai Sea in Nantong. At Lyusi Port, Mongolian journalists showed strong interest in the port's construction and said that they will give a detailed report about the development of ports in China.
