The Hengli (Nantong) Textile and New Material Industrial Park located in Wujie town has also driven the development of the new materials industry in Tongzhou.

The industrial park is a new material production base established by Hengli Group, a Fortune 500 company, in Nantong.

The first and second phase projects in the park can produce 1.2 million tons of polyester fiber new materials and process 400,000 tons of low-elasticity polyester filament per year.

The third phase project, currently under construction, is expected to produce 2.1 million tons of green multifunctional textile new materials and process 600,000 tons of textured fiber.

Lu Jiaying, deputy general manager of the industrial park, said that the production capacity of the third phase project will make the park a high-end textile industrial park with the largest output capacity in the world.
