The G2 and G3 berths are located in the south of Yangguang Island in Rudong county and each have a length of 195 meters. The G2 berth has a capacity of 5,000 tons while the G3 berth has a capacity of 10,000 tons. The two berths, which cost 435 million yuan ($63.19 million) to build, have an annual throughput capacity of 1.43 million tons and were completed in August 2022. To date, 52 vessels carrying about 225,400 tons of chemicals have docked at the terminal.

The provincial approval means the terminal will now receive more international vessels and this will help meet the water transportation needs for raw materials and finished products of nearby industrial companies and further enhance the service capabilities of Yangkou Port.

Yangkou Port is specially catered to the new energy and new material industries and has LNG terminals, liquid chemicals terminals, and general terminals. Currently, four berths are open to 25 countries and regions. Last year, the port's cargo throughput was 7.84 million tons and its foreign trade reached 39.5 billion yuan.
