Covering an area of 580,000 square meters, the Nantong CBD consists of Nantong ZNC Shopping Mall, Nantong YoungMax, and the Nantong Sports and Exhibition Center, and offers 24-hour services for commerce, social communication, culture, and sports.
In recent years, the Nantong CBD has taken measures to create opportunities for customers to experience intangible cultural heritage items, including blue calico making, Shen embroidery, banyao kite, and paper cutting. The kite festival is one of the district's such attempts.
