An art exhibition of the works of Nantong-born artist Yuan Yunsheng has been visited by more than 60,000 people since it was unveiled on Jan 17 at the Nantong Art Museum in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.
The exhibition showcases a total of 655 sketches, oil paintings, and sculptures created by Yuan over the past 70 years.

The exhibits are divided into five categories – landscape sketches in Yunnan, creations during the year Yuan graduated from university, sketches before he entered university, artworks during his study in the US, and his sculptures.
The art exhibition is expected to draw more attention from artists, especially Nantong-born artists, and to attract scholars to Nantong to support the city's cultural development.
On April 8, Yuan himself visited his hometown, during which he donated some of his works to the Nantong Art Museum and discussed art with local art enthusiasts.
