The 2023 Yuantuojiao International Kite Festival recently opened at the Evergrande Venice of the Yuantuojiao Resort in Qidong, in East China's Jiangsu province.

Kite enthusiasts from all over China gathered at the opening ceremony to fly kites.

A professional team from Weifang, the world's kite capital, flew more than 30 soft kites during the opening ceremony.

The festival will run until May 20 and feature activities such as a hundred-person kite flying event, a kite photography competition, a kite DIY activity, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and fashion shows.
