Haimen hosts first development conference

Authorities of Haimen district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province held their first development conference on April 2.
Outstanding Haimen natives from all around the world and more than 300 entrepreneurs starting businesses in the district attended the conference both online and offline.
Shen Lei, deputy Party chief and head of the publicity department of the Nantong committee of the Party, said at the conference that he hopes each Haimen native will play an active role in promoting the district to the world and contribute to the district's high-quality development.
Guo Xiaomin, Party chief of Haimen district, said that the district has made significant strides in its economic and social development, and expressed her hope that Haimen natives will be involved in the city's development.
Shen Xudong, deputy Party chief and head of Haimen, noted that the district has made outstanding achievements in technology, living environment and the improvement of well-being, and hopes that more natives will make investments in Haimen.
Authorities issued appointment letters to 10 counselors at the conference, some of whom delivered speeches regarding the district's high-quality development.
Online parallel sessions were also held in cities like Hong Kong, Santiago de Chile, Johannesburg, Belgrade, and Bucharest.
