National high-tech zone makes strides in establishing business-friendly environment
The Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in East China's Jiangsu province this year launched measures to improve its business environment, local media reported.
The zone will set up service hotlines, organize reception days for entrepreneurs, and carry out visits to local enterprises to help enterprises solve problems.
The zone has also shortened the approval process and set up one-stop service windows for local enterprises.
PI Semiconductor (Nantong) Co Ltd is a high-tech enterprise in the zone that has benefited from the improved services.
Last year, the company planned to apply to become a provincial-level potential unicorn enterprise, but the process was delayed due to incomplete documents.
The bureau of technology and talents of the zone helped the enterprise complete the approval process.
The zone has also developed an application for local enterprises, whereby enterprises can connect with related departments and the zone can learn about the needs of enterprises.
Due to its quality services, the zone last year launched 19 new projects worth over 500 million yuan ($72.95 million).
In February, eight new projects started construction, with a combined value of 6.1 billion yuan.
