Construction of projects, industrial parks helps improve key industrial chains in Rudong
Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been making efforts to boost the construction of both projects and industrial parks in recent years.
According to authorities, the move is meant to improve key industrial chains in the park.
One of the efforts taken by authorities is introducing a copper foil manufacturing facility that will boost the county's new energy industry.
Backed by Zhongtian Technology Group, the facility is expected to produce 250,000 metric tons of copper foil, and its annual taxable turnover is expected to exceed 2 billion yuan ($293.15 million).
In 2015, ZTT Group also invested in another five projects in the county, which have formed an industrial park in the county.
In 2022, the taxable turnover of the ZTT industrial park was about 9 billion yuan.
In addition, the county has introduced a papermaking facility in the Lingang industrial zone with a combined value of over 10 billion yuan.
Funded by Indonesia's Sinar Mas Group, the facility is currently the world's largest factory for paper for daily use and has an annual production capacity of 780,000 metric tons.
In February, the county also held an opening ceremony for 30 key projects related to photovoltaics, new materials, biologics, and intelligent equipment manufacturing.
Next, local authorities will focus on providing better services and helping enterprises solve problems to boost project construction in the county.
