Chuanjiang town to attract more investment in textile industry
Chuanjiang town will seek to boost its attractiveness to investors this year, according to a recent interview with Wang Yubin, a standing committee member of Tongzhou.
Located in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, the town is well-known for its home textile industry.
As of 2022, the town was home to more than 300 foreign trade enterprises in the home textile category that export goods to over 100 countries and regions.
This year, the town will continue to boost the development of the home textile industry and strive to expand the industrial chain.
Wang said that the town will be seeking to attract more investment to improve the industrial chain.
He added that the town aims to introduce five projects worth over 500 million yuan ($73.72 million) and two projects worth over 1 billion yuan this year. In addition, more than five key projects will begin construction this year.
To achieve these goals, authorities will provide better services for projects.
For example, a service that designates one person in charge of each project has been implemented in the town to ensure smooth progress.
Authorities will also advance the construction of facilities such as schools, talent apartments, and commercial complexes to improve the investment environment of the town.
