Pinghu makes strides in industrial development
Pinghu town in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has made remarkable progress in industrial development over the past year.
In 2022, the total output value of industries above the designated size in the town was 10.6 billion yuan, an increase of 11.2 percent year-on-year.
One of the ways it has been boosting industrial development is by attracting investment. The town's total investment in fixed assets was 4.69 billion yuan, increasing by 688 million yuan year-on-year, in 2022.
Last year, the town also introduced six key projects related to wind power equipment and new materials. In addition, the increased competitiveness of local enterprises has been a key driver of industrial development in the town.
In 2022, Nantong Jianghai Capacitor Co Ltd and Nantong Haixing Electronics Co Ltd made the list of provincial leading enterprises for innovation. In addition, one company in the town was nominated for the Jiangsu Provincial Governor Quality Award.
To further boost development, the town is aiming to introduce at least 10 key projects and increase the output value of industries above the designated size by 20 percent year-on-year in 2023.
