Tyson Foods' smart factory in Nantong to start operation soon
Tyson Foods, the biggest US meat supplier by sales, announced at the fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE) that its intelligent factory in Haimen district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu is expected to start operation at the end of this year.
At the fourth CIIE, the food company said that it will start its digital transformation pace by setting up three intelligent centers in China - the Tyson China Intelligent Manufacturing Center, an intelligent delivery center and an intelligent marketing center. It also announced that it will make great efforts to promote the comprehensive upgrading of its factory in Nantong's Haimen.
Over the past year, Tyson Foods has made steady progress in the digital upgrading and transformation of its Nantong factory, which is scheduled to start operation at the end of this year. The factory will be an important part of the Tyson China Smart Manufacturing Center, which will apply a series of advanced technologies including internet of things, artificial intelligence, and big data to make production more intelligent, automated and digital.
Tyson Foods said that its factory in Nantong is the group's only production base in East China, and the city has a sound business environment and superior geographical position. The group will expand its investment in Nantong to promote the industrial upgrading of the city.
