Cultural venues in Haimen reopening as epidemic wanes
The county-level city of Haimen in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province has announced that it will reopen certain venues to the public starting on Nov 1 as the city has effectively brought the current COVID-19 wave under control.
A number of cultural venues such as museums, libraries and cultural centers in the city have recently announced their reopening, and staff members are fully prepared for resumption of services, with disinfection and equipment checks being carried out to provide a safe and clean environment to the public.
"I couldn't wait to come to the library when I found out it was reopened today," said a citizen surnamed Yang.
According to the local government, cultural venues in Haimen will organize a wide range of activities to enrich the daily lives of the public.
