Longwan watertown aims to become mid-to-high-end attraction in YRD

Longwan watertown in Jianghai Lanwan resort, Qidong, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has set a goal of becoming a mid-to-high-end attraction in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Construction on the watertown began in 2020. Its main structure has been completed and a 50 mu (3.33 hectares) of the watertown has opened to the public.

The entire watertown will open to visitors at the beginning of 2023.

With an expected investment of about 3 billion yuan ($412.80 million), the watertown covers an area of 263 mu and will include facilities such as Longwan Tower, Longmeng Theater, Menghua Hotel, and the Jianghai Legend Performance Center.

The 12,000-square meter Qitang Immersive Theater will showcase the culture of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) in all aspects and include more than 1,000 varieties of props and costumes to help visitors experience the dynasty's prosperity.
