2 Haimen projects make Jiangsu Culture, Tourism Consumption Hot List
The 2021-22 Jiangsu Culture and Tourism Consumption Hot List was released at the recent fourth Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo. Two Haimen culture and tourism projects were included on the list, according to the Haimen culture, radio and tourism bureau.
Liuxiban Streets and the second "Light up the Beauty of Haimen" Cultural and Tourism Night Market were respectively recognized as a popular destination and an excellent case of promoting cultural and tourism consumption. Haimen district is now the only administrative area in Nantong to have won the awards.
In order to boost the district's cultural and tourism consumption, cultural venues and tourism scenic spots including Liuxiban Streets have been constructed and put into use in recent years.

Liuxiban Streets, the first phase of the Zhang Jian Culture Town, opened to the public on Nov 15, 2021.
Liuxiban Streets consist of four streets: Changtai Street, a copy of the street in the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Jiangong Street, a copy of the street in the Republic of China (1912-1949), Seweng Street, which is focused on entertainment, and Jizhi Street, which sports an oriental aesthetics style.
Visitors can get a taste of traditional Haimen delicacies, including goat meat and Shihui pastry, and admire bamboo weaving, paper cutting, and other intangible cultural heritage items on the streets.
The second "Light up the Beauty of Haimen" Cultural and Tourism Night Market kicked off in the district on Aug 4 to 7. A range of activities including light shows, concerts, delicacy fairs and cultural and creative product fairs were held during the four-day event, attracting more than 30,000 visitors.
