The sales of 12 key retail enterprises in Haimen district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, reached 13.68 million yuan ($1.95 million) on Sept 11 and 12, and the sales of Xinhua Bookstore increased by nearly 100 percent, according to the Haimen bureau of commerce.

During this year's three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday that ended on Sept 12, activities such as going to market fairs, wearing Hanfu and visiting gardens were carried out in various parts of Haimen.

Meanwhile, the arrival of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival injected new vitality into the consumer market.

For example, jewelry sales of Haimen Shuang'ai Gold Jewelry increased by 25 percent compared with last year's Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.
