Film produced by Haimen animation base shortlisted for intl film festival

The animation Cui Wen Zi Training for Immortality created in TOPU International Animation Base in TOPU Science City in Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province was recently shortlisted for the British Encounter Film Festival, local media reported on Aug 13.
Sliver Cave, another animation created in the base was shortlisted for the Ottawa International Animation Festival in July.
In addition, the animation The Horse Guessing Game created in the base last year was shortlisted for the Canadian Fantasia International Film Festival. So far, TOPU Science City has three animations shortlisted for well-known international film festivals.
Haimen has become an incubation base for the animation industry. Since 2019, the China Independent Animation Film Forum, which aims to strengthen the creative development of Chinese animation, was upgraded to TOPU International Animation Week and has been permanently based in TOPU Science City.
So far, more than 20 projects and teams have been established at the TOPU International Animation Base.
