The Jiangong Lake Ecological Park in Haimen district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, will open on Aug 13, according to local media reports.

The Jiangong Lake Ecological Park spans an area of 3,360 mu (224 hectares) and is the largest ecological park in Haimen district.

The park's first phase of construction, costing 270 million yuan ($40.08 million) and covering an area of 2730 mu, has been completed.

The park boasts a camping site, lakeside rest house, touring car campsite, mobile bar and children's playground.

In addition, tourists can take a boat on Jiangong Lake to tour the park.

A sea of verbena flowers can be seen at the park's flower plaza. Verbena blooms from April to November every year, making it an excellent place to take photos.
