The taxable sales of 822 industrial enterprises above designated size in Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province reached 58.75 billion yuan ($8.7 billion) from January to June, a year-on-year increase of 19.8 percent and ranking first among the seven administrative areas of Nantong.

In the first half of this year, the taxable sales of Jiangsu Easpring Material Technology Co Ltd in Linjiang New Area totaled 5.43 billion yuan, a surge of 164 percent year-on-year.

China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co Ltd has promoted digital transformation this year. The company achieved taxable sales of 4.42 billion yuan in the first six months, a year-on-year increase of 122.56 percent.

This year, 36 projects in Haimen were listed as major projects at the provincial and municipal levels, the most in Nantong.

In the first half of this year, 22 major industrial projects started construction in the district, completing 81.48 percent of the annual target.
