Haimen provides 21,400 jobs in H1
Haimen district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, released 8,150 pieces of job information for 1,343 enterprises with labor shortages in the first half of the year, providing 21,400 jobs in total, according to local media reports.
In the first half of the year, 2,734 unemployed persons in urban areas and 1,535 persons with difficulty finding employment obtained employment.
The district created 124 public welfare posts involving in community services, public cleaning and epidemic prevention and control to resettle 95 people with employment difficulties. Meanwhile, a subsidy of 979,200 yuan ($144,766.5) for public welfare posts and a subsidy of 878,200 yuan for social security of public welfare posts were issued.
To help enterprises retain talent and encourage college graduates to find jobs in Haimen, the district offers subsidies to trainees. Last year, over 1.66 million yuan in internship subsidies were granted.
In addition, since the beginning of this year, the district has helped 1,675 people start their own businesses, and 568 people have received entrepreneurship training.
A total of 2,583 people received job training, and 6,607 received subsidized vocational skill training, with a total of 4.98 million yuan in subsidies given out.
This year, the district's human resources and social security bureau has helped 35 enterprises to carry out recruitment activities in Mianxian county in Shaanxi province, Dingxi city in Gansu province, Maiji district in Tianshui, Gansu province, Qiaojia county in Yunnan province and Nanning in Guangxi province. More than 600 people have come to Haimen district for employment.
