Haimen consumption market sees recovery

The consumer market in Haimen district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has fully recovered since the district launched a series of promotional activities in June, local media reported on July 12.
Due to the consumption promotion activities, six large supermarkets, including Longxin, Dayo City, RT-Mart and Wenfeng Great World, have achieved 136.3 million yuan ($20.17 million) in total sales in June, an increase of 17.73 percent month-on-month.
The automobile market has become the main driver of the sales market. As of June 30, 1,033 vehicles had been sold that month, including 111 new energy vehicles and 922 fuel vehicles, with the number of sales doubling that of May.
During the "618 shopping festival", sales of enterprises in China Dieshiqiao International Home Textiles City exceeded 50 million yuan. Sales of the China Dieshiqiao International Home Textiles City via livestreaming totaled 220 million yuan.
In addition, the night market has become an important part of the recovery of the district's consumer market. Since June, night markets in the district have attracted nearly 200,000 people.
