A ship known as 'Emerald' loaded with a total of 27 wind turbine blades departed from Haimen Dongzao Port in Haimen district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, to Finland on July 13, according to local media reports.
As an eastern coastal city, Nantong has been making strong efforts to build a national-level wind power generation and equipment manufacturing production base in recent years.
Haimen Dongzao Port is one of the closest ports to Haimen Aeolon Wind Energy Technology Development Co Ltd, the origin of offshore wind power blades.
Exporting from nearby Dongzao Port can greatly reduce transportation costs for enterprises.
More than 80 percent of Haimen Aeolon Wind Energy Technology Development Co Ltd's wind blade products are currently exported overseas from Dongzao Port.
