Travel routes for 'red culture' in Nantong

Editor's note: Eight themed travel routes in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, were unveiled during the Nantong "Hao Tong You" cultural and tourism consumption promotion season on May 19 to mark the 12th China Tourism Day.
The following two-day routes are themed on "red culture" in Nantong.
Route showing turbulent years
Day one: Memorial Hall of Seven Battles and Seven Victories in Central Jiangsu – Exhibition Hall of Jiaoxie Militia's Historical Acts – Memorial Hall of CPC's Yingxi Branch
Day two: Memorial Hall of the 14th Force of Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army – Huaxia Film Museum – Rugao Pingyuanchi village
Route about revolutionary martyrs
Day one: Memorial Place of CPC's Nantong Branch – Nantong Revolutionary Memorial Museum – Former residence of Liu Ruilong, former secretary-general of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee – Binjiang Lianzheng Square
Day two: Museum of Historical Materials (about the fourth zone of central Jiangsu's resistance against Japanese aggression) – Memorial Hall of Tongdong Old Revolutionary Areas – Qidong Ninth Branch of Chinese People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political College

"Red culture" consists of "red legacies" and "red spirit" that have developed over the course of China's revolution, construction, and reform under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to achieve national independence, economic growth, cultural prosperity, and national rejuvenation. The former is represented by historical sites.
Huaxia Film Museum focuses on collecting and repairing classic films, as well as on the technological development of motion picture techniques, and currently houses more than 200,000 collections, including film projectors, film copies, film scripts, and posters.
