Haimen residents enjoy better security system
The per capita disposable income of urban residents in Haimen was 59,183 yuan ($8,874.87) in 2021, double the amount 10 years ago, while that of rural residents was 32,307 yuan, 2.1 times the amount 10 years ago, according to the district's statistics bureau.
The per capita disposable income of Haimen residents surpassed 47,808 yuan in 2021.
From 2016 to 2021, over 208,000 locals were employed, of which more than 31,000 jobs per year on average were provided by Haimen. The registered urban unemployment rate was kept under 3 percent.
Meanwhile, Haimen helps an average of 3,900 people start their own businesses every year, creating 20,000 jobs. By the end of 2021, the number of employed people in the district had reached 216,600.
The overall coverage rate of basic endowment insurance in the district has increased from 96.6 percent in 2012 to the current 98 percent, and the pension fund has increased from 1.07 billion yuan to 3.96 billion yuan.
The number of people with basic medical insurance in urban areas increased from 171,000 in 2012 to 913,300 in 2021, and the coverage rate of basic medical insurance remained above 98 percent.
In addition, the per capita pension of enterprise retirees reached 2,349.6 yuan in 2021. The basic pension for residents of the district is currently 275 yuan per person per month, and the pension subsidy for seniors whose land is expropriated is 825 yuan per person per month.
