The construction of the Qinglong Port greenbelt in Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province is nearing completion, local media reported on May 6.

The greenbelt is a significant part of the construction of Haimen's ecological landscape area along the Yangtze River.

The greenbelt project includes the construction of landscapes, embankment roads and viewing platforms and the renovation of reserved buildings. After completion, citizens would be able to stroll along the river and enjoy the scenery.

Ninety percent of the work has already been completed, with the remainder scheduled to be completed by the end of May, said Cai Jie, the person in charge of the construction.
