Facing the challenging novel coronavirus epidemic situation, Rudong county – administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – has been focusing on laying equal emphasis on the construction of projects and epidemic prevention and control measures.

The second phase of a major facility for Jiangsu Le Better Sleep Technology Co Ltd, located in Caobu town in Rudong, is currently under intensive construction. "With a total investment of some 1 billion yuan ($150.4 million), the second phase will build three standardized workshops, a warehouse and a dormitory building, and six automatic production lines for latex mattresses and pillows will be installed," said the company's factory manager Shuai Liwen.

Observing strict epidemic prevention measures, all workers must have their body temperatures measured and have their health codes checked before entering the construction site.

This year, Rudong has striven to overcome the difficulties brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, advancing the construction of key projects to achieve its high-quality economic development.
