The Tang Hong ship built by the China Merchants Industry Haimen Base was included among the Significant Ships of 2021 released by The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), local media reported on April 22.

RINA, a world-renowned international academic institution established in 1860, provides a variety of relevant information for the global professionals engaged in ship design, manufacturing, maintenance and management through the publication of magazines and academic conferences.

All the ships included in the list have been graded by experts of RINA according to ship type, performance, energy conservation, environmental protection and other characteristics.

The Tang Hong ship is a ro-ro ship with a total vehicle loading area of about 34,200 square meters. It is capable of transporting 3,800 cars. It is suitable for loading multi-type vehicles, including SUVs, trucks and buses.

Compared with other ships of the same type, Tang Hong ship is more environmentally friendly and economic and boasts higher speeds and stronger reliability.
