Ninety-six percent of the students have been admitted to global top 100 universities.
"This is the best year in our school's history. Some students were admitted to the University of Washington, which ranks 7th in the world, and the University of Toronto, which ranks 16th in the world," said Geng Qingxi, principal of Zhongnan High School.
The school's unique teaching model plays an important role in its great achievements.
The school has small classes of only about 20 students, and there are three types of classes: Chinese-American classes, Chinese-Australian classes and art and design classes.
In Chinese-American classes, students take both American and Chinese general high school courses, increasing recognition from foreign universities, said Geng.
In addition, at the beginning of the first year of high school, according to the varying situations of each student, a personalized education plan is formulated to maximize students' enthusiasm for learning.
