The COVID-19 antigen test kit, a convenient way for people to do a quick self-test at home, has been widely praised since it was recently approved for home use in China.

Now, Nantong Xiaoyu Environment Technology Co Ltd – located in the county-level city of Hai'an, administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – has become involved.

Normally, it specializes in the research, development, production, marketing and the after-sales service of water purifiers. Its main products include water purifiers, air cleaners and plastic products.

But in recent days it has shifted focus, going all out to produce the plastic cases of COVID-19 antigen test kits, with a daily output of 2 million sets.

In order to produce with higher efficiency, the company has also invested over 3 million yuan ($470,846) for equipment reconfiguration.

To make it all happen, the company has forged working relationships with several enterprises, to continuously supply the novel coronavirus antigen test kit cases – contributing to the epidemic prevention and control.
