Located in the Rudong High-tech Industrial Development Zone – in Rudong county administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – Jiangsu Etron New Energy Technology Co Ltd focuses on the research, development and manufacturing of powertrains and related electronic devices of new energy vehicles, or NEVs.
With two development platforms for passenger and commercial NEV powertrains, Etron is also a leading market player for the core components of NEV powertrains in China.
China's first electric high-speed transmission for commercial vehicles, developed by Etron, is being mass-produced.
The company has done business with most of China's first-class mainstream powertrain suppliers – including FAW, SAIC, NIO and Geely – and also with some leading international suppliers.
Plans are for it to add more production lines for reducers, transmissions and powertrains by the end of 2022, to reach its target of producing 1 million sets of reducers and 100,000 sets of transmissions annually.
