Haimen enterprise uses technology to facilitate production
Xinjiang Technology (Jiangsu) Co Ltd in Haimen district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has taken advantage of industrial automation to save on labor costs and increase productivity, local media reported on Jan 20.
Xinjiang Technology, invested in by the Shanghai Spaceflight Precision Machinery Institute under China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, was established on May 17, 2021. It mainly produces magnesium alloy castings.
The new resin sand automatic production line, with an investment of more than 30 million yuan ($4.73 million), has now begun operating. It can automatically schedule and dispatch orders using just seven workers, while the ordinary production line with the same order quantity requires 20 workers. Production efficiency is more than double the ordinary production line.
In addition, the company spent 10 million yuan on automatic pouring equipment. The number of workers at each station has been reduced from four to two.
The company also spent 30 million yuan on environmental protection equipment for the centralized treatment of waste gas, which reduces exhaust gas emissions by 98 percent.
Wang Xiaodong, vice-general manager of Xinjiang Technology, said that an 800-miilion-yuan automatic heat treatment unit for magnesium alloy will be completed in March this year, which is expected to replace about 40 percent of human labor with automated processes.
