The Haimen Grand Theater in Haimen, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province will open to the public for free from Dec 25 to 26, local media reported on Dec 23.

Here are the activities that will be held during the two days.

Musical instruments exhibition

Musical instruments such as piano, bass, cello, harp, snare drum, jazz drum and tambourine will be displayed in the theater.

Live performances

Three performances will be presented to the audience, including folk songs performed by four musicians, instrumental sessions and hip-hop dance performances.

Reading session

A reading session will be held on Dec 25 and 26 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. People can share their favourite books, dramas and plays with each other.

In addition, a calligraphy competition will be held by the theater on the opening day. Winners will receive gifts and certificates.
