The Jiangsu provincial department of agriculture and rural affairs recently announced its list of digital agricultural bases for 2021. The Yazhou Modern Agricultural Park in Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, was included as one of the four administrative bases in the province and the only one in Nantong.

Jiangsu Nongxin Agricultural Technology Co Ltd, located in the park, is an agricultural enterprise engaged in the promotion, demonstration and service of digital agricultural integrated technologies. It mainly studies technology to control water, fertilizer, temperature and humidity in the process of plant growth to develop agriculture in a smart, efficient, and green way.

With Nongxin's push, a large number of agricultural enterprises have conducted intelligent reconstruction and connected to the smart platform built by Nongxin.

In recent years, the Yazhou Modern Agricultural Park has made efforts to accelerate the integration of internet technology and agricultural production to promote the construction of a digital park and smart agriculture.

So far, the park has built three major innovative agricultural sectors – high-quality rice breeding, silkworm breeding, and fruit and vegetable farming. Modern agricultural technologies such as automatic drip irrigation, remote data acquisition, and intelligent temperature control are widely used in the management of agricultural production.

At present, the park is striving to create a model for Hai'an's first unmanned farm adhering to the principle of "all-weather, all-process, and all-space". Relying on the technology research team of Zhang Hongcheng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at Yangzhou University, the farm adopts an unmanned operation model integrating plowing, planting, managing and harvesting, serving as a model for rural revitalization.
