The revamped Beishi Street scenic area in Tangzha ancient town – located in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province – opened to the public during the recent National Day holiday.

Beishi Street is located north of Gao'an Street in Tangzha, next to the Nantong-Yangzhou Canal. With its black roof-tiles and delicate bridges over flowing waters, the scenic area decorated its public space with both classical and modern elements. At night, shows and intangible cultural heritage workshops offering delicacies and providing entertainment will allow tourists to enjoy a vibrant night life when the evening lights are lit.

In addition, a special martial arts show was performed on the Changyintai stage in the Beishi Street scenic area on Oct 4. It was organized by Chongchuan district's martial arts association and consisted of Tai Chi and other martial arts performances.
