Top recommended rural tourist destinations in Qidong
The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently released a list of top rural tourist destinations that it has officially endorsed.
The prefecture-level city of Nantong – located in East China's Jiangsu province – had 18 sites included, three of which are located in the region of Qidong city, which it administers.

The delightful Qidong houseboat leisure center and creative farm is mainly engaged in the business of homestays and selling agricultural products through livestreaming. By virtue of its great location on the water, it has created quirky rooms, a café and other fun facilities.
Visitors are able to pick vegetables and fruit in a 120-mu (8 hectares) plantation and experience selling agricultural products through livestreaming there.

Located in Hequn village in Qidong, Jiangtian Ecological Park has plenty of fresh air and an idyllic landscape. Covering over 600 mu, the park is a five-star rural resort which integrates healthy diets, vacations, entertainment, an agricultural cultural display, a farming experience and rural leisure and recreation.
Research-study-practice projects have been newly added for primary and secondary school students.

Jiangsu Mutian Farm is seated in Hongyang village, Beixin town in Qidong. It is opposite Chongming Island across the Yangtze River.
Taking wellness as its theme, Mutian Farm focuses on maintaining a healthy diet for its clients. There is a plantation there, providing fruit and crop picking all year round. Activities like camping, fishing, swimming are also available there.
