Founded in 1953, China Railway Shanghai Design Institute Group is a large national comprehensive grade-A survey and design enterprise, and a backbone enterprise under China Railway Construction Corporation Co Ltd, a Global 500 enterprise, and the world's largest engineering contractor.
Guided by the development strategy of building Hai'an into a regional traffic hub and a new sci-tech city, the city has continuously expanded cooperation with the institute and has become a key market for its business.
The Hai'an branch, jointly established by the institute and Hai'an Construction Development Investment Group, is a model for Yangtze River Delta integration and Shanghai-Hai'an cross-river cooperation.
Liu Jianhong, Party secretary and chairman of China Railway Shanghai Design Institute Group, expressed hope that the Hai'an branch would serve as a think tank for the city's economic and social development and develop into a first-class design company with a high level of specialty and superior branding.
With the help of the Shanghai railway institute's strong technical force and advanced management model, Hai'an will give full play to its role as a regional hub and carry out deep cooperation in the fields of comprehensive transportation, urban construction, and the construction industry, according to Tan Zhen, mayor of Hai'an.
