Something special is happening to Heming Park – located in northern Rudong county administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – which is currently having its southern part undergoing extensive reconstruction.

After having received 401 million yuan ($61.85 million) in investment, it will be the first wetland-themed landscape park in the county and is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of 2022.

The southern area of Heming Park covers 180,000 square meters and plans are for it to be developed into an area integrating sightseeing and recreation. Appealing landscapes such as a flower fields and wetlands and dynamic sports sites will be available there.

In addition to the southern area, the northern section and commercial area are under development too. Covering 800,000 sq m, the northern park focuses on the principle of environmental renewal. The original large plants, rivers and ditches are all being preserved to the maximum extent.

A large gallery bridge built to connect the four major functional zones is a highlight of the northern part of Heming Park. With a length of 1.6 kilometers, it will provide more memorable experiences for wetland lovers after completion.
