The Nantong commerce bureau recently announced its second list of time-honored brands and Shuangju (frosted chrysanthemum) brand products, produced by Jiangsu Hua Shen Medicine Co Ltd – in the county-level city of Qidong, administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – won the accolade.

That recognition reportedly makes Hua Shen Medicine the first and only Nantong time-honored brand enterprise in Qidong.

The time-honored brand is an appellation granted by the authorities to enterprises that have existed for decades, sell products, techniques or services passed down through generations, have distinct Chinese cultural characteristics and are widely recognized by society.

Founded in 1976, the company has become a well-known manufacturer of external medicines, such as menthol balm, medicated oil, and calamine lotion, after over 40 years of development.

In recent years, it is understood that Hua Shen Medicine has been committed to product research and development and improving its production techniques.
