The Qidong administrative approval bureau launched an "acceptance by one integrated office" reform last November. It integrated four key administrative affairs approval offices, a service window for comprehensive civil affairs, and the government affairs agency center, achieving the integrated acceptance of 315 major administrative approval items.
The integration enables enterprises and people in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, to access whole-process services, including acceptance, pre-review, and agency, at any service window, which reduces the number of necessary procedures, waiting times, and visits.
"I thought it would take three to five visits to complete all the necessary procedures, and I didn't expect the approval formalities to be finished within half a day," said Mr. Yang, the person in charge of Jiangsu Nanfang Lubrication Co Ltd. "The administrative approval service has become more and more convenient and efficient."
According to statistics, in the first seven months of the current year, the Qidong administrative approval bureau has accepted over 32,000 cases through the integrated office. The average completion time was just 17 minutes, a decrease of 30 percent over the same period last year.
