The county-level city of Qidong – administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – recently established a center to help businesses navigate their municipal government administrative affairs and apply for various licenses, available not only in the city but also in towns and villages under its jurisdiction.
For projects at the city and town level, there are now 189 staff members in place to help enterprises go through the red tape – from project approval to declaration of land certificates, project planning permits, construction permits and completion acceptances.
One of the beneficiaries of the center is Tianhe Electromechanical Technology Co Ltd – currently constructing a plant on the former site of a cotton producer in Daxing town – which was able to kick off installation of the foundation piles on June 29, right after getting the relevant permits.
The service center assisted the company throughout the entire process, setting up firm timelines and reportedly working with a high degree of efficiency.
