Chongchuan pupils use Rubik's cubes for CPC-themed wonder
Pupils from No 3 Primary School Attached to Nantong Normal College – located in the Chongchuan district of Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – created a huge design featuring 2,000 Rubik's cubes on May 31, to honor the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. With the assistance of their teachers, 80 students persistently and delicately placed the tiny cubes one after the other, following an intricate pattern that had been mapped out beforehand.
Each class in the school had students who participated in creating the CPC celebratory wonder. In order to co-ordinate the construction, they were divided into 40 groups that handled individual sections of the overall design.
The Rubik's cube has been one of the four special activities used by the school to both entertain and train its children over the past decade.
Last year, the school won a provincial honorary title in recognition of the innovation.
