The annual graduate exhibition of the School of Arts at Nantong University kicked off in the coastal city in East China's Jiangsu province on May 19.

With a theme of "shining youth," the exhibition is displaying more than 1,200 artworks by 728 graduates covering 10 subjects, including fine arts, music, environmental design, visual transmission design, industrial design, product design, animation, and architecture, setting a record high in terms of the number of works, participants, as well as quality.

This year's exhibition is part of a series of celebrations by the art school to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

The school has planned 100 activities, including academic forums, painting exhibitions, and concerts, which combine art with the revolutionary culture.

The campus has also been decorated with numerous red paper planes, which symbolize the graduates' enthusiasm to pursue their dreams, as well as their determination to seek happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation.
