Located on the southwest corner of Qidong Railway Station, the Chengbei coach station is under intensive construction. After completion, the two stations will make up an integrated hub for transfer between urban transport and railway.

The construction of the Chengbei coach station is a major public works project of Qidong – a county-level city administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province. Designed as a two-storey building, it has floor space of 2,963 square meters and will be equipped with 55 reserved parking spots and 38 public ones.

Contracted by Jiangsu Qi'an Construction Group Co Ltd, the project started last September and completion is anticipated for August this year.

"The Chengbei coach station will become a main base for buses in Qidong in the future," said Lu Ping, general manager of the Qidong branch of Nantong Automobile Transportation Group Co Ltd.

Most bus transport capacity in the city is planned to be deployed at the coach terminal.
