A company called Xinyuan Cocoon Silk Group – based in the county-level city of Hai'an, administered by Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province – is reportedly making a name for itself by making important contributions to industry standards.
The company, a leader in the silk-based industry in Hai'an, was granted the official appellation of a national advanced collective, for its contributions to silk standardization work.
It received the recognition at the founding conference for the third national silk standardization technical committee, which was held in late March, adding to another honor it had previously received.
On Oct 17, Chu Chengping, Party chief and chairman of Xinyuan Group, was invited to the National Poverty Alleviation Award Commendation Conference and Report Meeting of Advanced Deeds, held in Beijing.
There, he became the only recipient of the Individual Contributions Award from Nantong.
Focusing on the development needs of the industry, Xinyuan Group has reportedly made greater efforts on research into key technologies – creating new standards.
Having participated in the formulation, revision and reexamination of industry standards several times now, the group is understood to also be paying attention to the publicity, implementation and application of those standards.
