Night markets in Nantong to open on April 16
As the temperature rises, Chongchuan district in Nantong will give a boost to its nighttime economy by reopening several night markets on April 16.
Those on Helan Street, Dinggujiao, as well as Xiyang Bridge will resume operation that day and run until the end of this year, local media outlets reported.
Helan Street, southeast to the intersection of Wuyi Road and Jiaoyu Road, boasts convenient transportation. The block covers an area of 26,000 square meters, featuring 14 Dutch-style buildings by the riverside.
This year's night market will have a specific theme for each month: flowers in April, food in May, foreign trade in June, beer in July, and recreation in August.
How to get there: Take bus Nos 51, 85, 106, 615 or D12 and get off at the southern Wuyi Road and Jiaoyu Road stop.

Dinggujiao Pedestrian Street is located in Nandajie, the busiest commercial area in downtown Nantong. Its night market will focus on six aspects, including shopping, culture, food, and sports. A variety of cultural activities will be held through the end of the year.
How to get there: Take bus Nos 1, 3, 4, 6, 10, 22, 101, 36, 51, 52 or 53 and get off at the Zhonglou Square stop.

Differing from the aforementioned two night markets, the Xiyang Bridge night market was newly built in Tangzha ancient town last year. It is located in a former bus parking lot and transformed from 12 containers.
In addition to shopping and food, the market will also offers cultural performances like singing and dancing.
How to get there: Take bus No 1 and get off at the Xiyang Bridge stop.
