A Chinese-foreign cultural exchange activity was held on the riverbank of the Nantong-Lyusi Canal in Nantong on April 7.

Nearly 20 expats from 10 countries, including the United States, Russia, Japan, and Ukraine, took part in the event, where they enjoyed the city's spring scenery, learned about local culture, discussed the protection of the Yangtze River, and tasted Nantong delicacies.

The expats were not only treated to cultural performances involving dance, traditional Chinese musical instruments, and tea art, but also recited Chinese poems and tried their hands at painting Nantong whistling kites.

They also introduced rivers and cultures from their home countries to attendees during the activity and wished Nantong good fortune in their mother tongues.
