32 major products break ground in Rudong
Construction of 32 key industrial projects worth 32.9 billion yuan ($5.09 billion) began on Feb 23 in Rudong county, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.
The projects, large in scale with important significance, are the priority of the work for the first quarter of this year. They include 10 over 1-billion-yuan projects which have total investment of 29.15 billion yuan.
Their business focuses are on new materials, new energy, intelligent equipment manufacturing, life and health, pan-semiconductors, and food among other fields.
The Xinchen-Techfields project of first-class new drug and ultrasonic therapy robot R&D and production also broke ground that day. The 1-billion-yuan project is located in the Rudong Hi-tech Zone. After completion, the annual output of ibulomide hydrochloride spray, which is classified as a national first-class new drug, is expected to reach 30 million boxes. The project will also be capable of producing 150 sets of AI-focused ultrasound therapy robots and related equipment.
Difficulties and problems arising from project advancement will be taken care of with the help of a special service team designated by the government. Relevant county departments will provide support and coordination in various ways to speed up the projects, according to a speech by an official at the ceremony.
