Nearly 100 artworks by teachers from the School of Art of Nantong University are currently on display at the Nantong Museum. The exhibition will run until Feb 28.

The works include a wide range of art forms, including traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, Chinese calligraphy, sculptures, and animation.

One of them is a paper-tearing work by Zhai Tianlin, which reproduces the scenery of the waterfront area along the Yangtze River in Nantong.

"A paper-tearing work must be done without rest," Zhai explained. "It requires an accurate depiction of people's features."

According to Zhang Wei, dean of the art school, the school has held four such exhibitions since 2018, aiming to offer teachers a platform to showcase their achievements in art production and education.
